The Kentucky B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Junior Program is the future of the KBFN....
Our Junior Program has had many successful juniors in all areas of the program from our Junior Trail, to Casting Kids, to our Adult Trail and a few have been very successful moving on to the Colligate level. This program however couldn’t be as successful without the time and dedication from our KBFN Board, KBFN membership and the parents who truly believe in the success of their young anglers and the KBFN/B.A.S.S. During the 2010 Junior Trail season we began another branch of our Junior Program known as “Bass Tykes”. This section of our program allows juniors from the ages of 6 to 10 years old fish in our Junior Trail and get a head start on a successful journey learning conservation, bass patterns, lure presentation and the many techniques used to find bass and become a successful young angler. As our juniors become successful on the KBFN Junior Trail, they can benefit from our KBFN Scholarship Program which provides some financial support to a collegiate institution of their choice. Some junior members who have moved on and been successful on a collegiate level include; Kyle Raymer at Eastern Kentucky University and Kalem Tippett & Vincent Campisano at Murray State University. One other junior member has found his success not only in college but has now fished as the youngest angler on the Bassmaster Elite Trail, Bradley Roy. Below you will find some of our successful junior anglers and their success with the KBFN. If you have any questions pertaining to the KBFN Junior Program, please feel free to contact your local KBFN Adult Club or one of our KBFN Board members and we will be glad to assist you in getting your journey started. Remember, the road to the B.A.S.S. Junior World Championship or the Bassmaster Classic starts here with the Kentucky B.A.S.S. Federation Nation and we hope to see you on the water soon! |
